ABC Book Ancient Egypt- Old Kingdom

 

A is for Ankh. Ankh is the key of live, or the key of  Nile.

 





 B is for Bent Pyramid. Bent Pyramid is the second pyramid, Bent Pyramid is built by Sneferu. Called as the "false pyramid"








C is for canopic jars. Canopic jars is used to keep Pharaoh's lungs, liver, stomach, and intestines. 1 people always have 4 jars (pharaoh or Pharaoh's family)







 D is for Djoser. Djoser is the third pyramid of the Old Kingdom. Djoser built the step pyramid.




 E is for embalming. Embalming is a mummification process. Embalming is used for the smell of the pharaoh is good-smelled palm wine.






 Fis for faience.  Faience is a sintered-quartz ceramic displaying surface virtivication which creates a bright lusture of various colors.





 G is for Great Pyramid. Great Pyramid is the biggest pyramid. The builder of the Great Pyramid is Khufu.








 H is for Hapi. Hapi is a god that organize the flood of the Nile River,





 I is for Isis. Isis is a goddesses of health, marriage, and wisdom.







 J is for Jackal. Jackal is an animal that pharaoh use to symbolize his head.



 K is for Khufu. Khufu  is  the builder of the Great pyramid, and ruled on the fourth dynasty.







 L is for Lower Egypt. Lower Egypt is between Mediteranian Sea, and Upper Egypt. The crown called deshert.






 M is for Mastaba. Mastaba is a flat roofed  tomb.





 N is for Nile River. Nile River is the source of farming in Ancient Egyptian. Nile River is the longest river in the world.







 O is for Osiris. Osiris is a god of dead, and afterlife.






 P is for Pepy II. Pepy II was a pharaoh in the sixth dynasty. His name Neferkare means "beautuful is Ka of Re"





 Q is for Quebehsenuef. Quebehsenuef is one of the fourth of Horus son. His canopic jars used to keep intestine.





 R is for Red Pyramid. The other name of Red Pyramid is North Pyramid. Sneferu learns from the two other pyramid.






 S is for Sarcophagus. Sarcophagus is a coffin, made of stone and sometimes gold.






 T is for Tut. King Tut is famous because of his sarcophagus. his sarcophagus contains alot of gold.





 U is for Userkaf. Userkaf is the first pharaoh to start the tradition of building sun temples at Abusir.






 V is for vizier. Vizier job is to serve pharaoh. Vizier is the second of the highest man (level).






 W is for wadjed. Wadjed is the goddes of Lower Egypt. Wadjet (Wadjyt, Wadjit, Uto, Uathet, Edjo, Buto) was one of the oldest Egyptian goddesses.





 X is for Xois. Xois is a city in Ancient Egypt. Xois have other name, Khasut, Khaset, and Shaka.





 Y is for Yaru. Yaru is a field of afterlife. Egyptian trust that if we die, we will pass through yaru.0





 Z is for Zagazig. Zagazig is a city in Lower Egypt. Zagazig have approximately 279.000 population.
